What To Test uses browser storage to remember settings and learning activity, including theme preference, completed tasks, progress, scores, attempt summaries, notes, AI-review usage, and Pro access status.

This browser-stored information normally stays on your device and is not an account or cloud backup. Clearing browser data, using another browser, or changing devices may remove or make it unavailable.

Hosting and analytics providers may process technical and usage information such as visited route, device or browser type, approximate location derived from an IP address, referrer, event time, scenario identifier, score, difficulty, and safe category counts.

What To Test is designed not to send raw practice answers, terminal commands, SQL queries, request bodies, passwords, tokens, access codes, or personal free-text content to analytics.

Local checklist scoring does not require AI review. If you intentionally request AI review, the answer or automation code you submit, together with relevant scenario and scoring context, is sent through a What To Test server endpoint to OpenAI to generate feedback.

Do not include confidential information, production credentials, personal data, secrets, client code, or proprietary material in content submitted for AI review. OpenAI processes this content under its applicable service terms and privacy commitments.

If you request Pro access, coaching, team support, or send feedback, the information you provide may include your name, email address, selected service, message, and contextual details needed to reply. Configured forms may be provided by Tally; email may be used as a fallback.

This information is used to respond to your request, arrange access or services, prevent abuse, and keep necessary business records. Do not submit sensitive credentials or unrelated personal information.

• Understand feature usage and improve reliability and usability.
• Detect abuse, diagnose failures, and protect the service.
• Respond to questions and arrange coaching, reviews, or team work.
• Meet legal obligations and enforce the Terms of Use.

What To Test may rely on service providers including Vercel for hosting and analytics, PostHog for configured product analytics, Tally for configured forms, OpenAI for requested AI review, and email providers for communication. These providers process information under their own terms and may process it in countries different from yours.

Third-party websites linked from What To Test have their own privacy practices. This policy does not control those services.

You can remove locally stored learning data using available reset or clear controls, or through your browser settings. Contact and business correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the request, legal obligations, dispute handling, and service security. Provider retention periods may differ.

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information held directly by What To Test, or object to certain processing, subject to applicable law. Send requests to the contact email above. You may also use browser privacy controls to limit storage or analytics, although some features may then work differently.

What To Test is intended for people aged 16 or older and is not directed to children under 16. Please do not use the service if local law does not permit you to consent to this processing.

This policy may be updated as the product or its providers change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented through an appropriate notice where reasonably required.
